Alberto Zuccardi founded the winery in 1963. As an engineer, he knows mechanics and designed much of the supporting machinery for the de-stemmer, press, and bottling line.

Alberto Zuccardi, with his son, operates one of the most modern and progressive wineries of Argentina.

The winery owns for estates in Mendoza, the largest producing region in the country which consists of La Consulta 37 hectares (at 1080 metres above sea level, Vista Flores 55 hectares at 980 asl, Altamira 90 hectares at 1100 asl (all in the famous high altitude Uco Valley), Santa Rosa 475 hectares at 620 asl, and Maipu 650 hectares at 650asl.

The Zuccardi innovation team is now researching the potential; of 35 new to Argentina varieties such as Tempranillo, Bonarda, Viognier, Caladoc, Marselan, Ancellotto, Aglianco, Arinamoa, Nero d’Avola, and Malvasia Nera.

The winery produces four distinct tiers of wine – Q or Zeta being the best, followed by Series A, Fuzion, and Malamado.

The Zeta/Q tiers are made from the Vista Flores estate fruit i.e Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Chardonnay, while Serie A tier features only Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.

Fuzion is the most popular of all tiers being easy drinking straightforward wines.

The Malamado tier is fortified to 19 per cent ABV, flavoured with different aromatics suitable for after dinner coffees and other imaginative drinks.

All Zuccardi

varietal wines are well balanced, deeply flavoured true to their varietal aroma and flavour characteristics, food friendly, and represent good value.
