Book Review: Marmalade Sweet and Savory Spreads for a Sophisticated Taste.

For most people who sit down for breakfast, jam or marmalade is an essential ingredient fro the first, and according to nutritionists, the most important meal of the day.

The English breakfast does justice to the term of breakfast. It is always a rich meal consisting of same or all of these foods eggs (any style), bacon, or ham, or sausages, fried tomato, hash browns, cereals (corn flakes, bran flakes etc), scones, toasts, biscuits, oatmeal cookies, butter, jam, coffee or tea.

The author created a book in which many types of marmalade and jam recipes are provided, along with a long explanation as to how to proceed to guarantee success. Flavours like passion fruit, blood orange, quince, and tomatillo open up a world of possibilities for any meal.

She has not missed the opportunity to provide recipes for English favourites like crumpets, rhubarb, kumquat recipes, marmalade, ice cream, torta le regina de notte, upside-down gingerbread, rugelach with cherry marmalade, baked boxty, brown soda bread, oatmeal scones, buttermilk biscuits just to name a few.

This is a practical and beautiful coffee table book that contains outstanding photographs.

Anyone who likes to cook and enjoys breakfast or high-tea should buy this “delicious” book, read it, try a few recipes and convince themselves how good they are.

Highly recommended.
