Santa Ynez, located approximately 150 kms. north of Los Angeles, has been producing wine for well over 50 years.
Now, the owners of the famous Screaming Eagle winery in Napa Valley, started Jonata in Santa Ynez selecting sites most suitable for pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, sangiovese, syrah, viognier, chardonnay, and sauvignon blanc.
The winery offers two lines – The Paring and Jonata, The Paring wines originate from blocks that are either too young or don/t fit into the vintage style of Jonata.
Recently, the winemaker Matt Dees was in Toronto to launch his wines that are now available at the Vintages division of the L. C. B.O.
The wines were purchased in small quantities (150 cases each) and presumably will be snapped up in short order.
