DIONYSOS, a New Wine Bar in Bucharest

Sourcing wines from over a dozen of countries all around the globe and the best 10 wine houses in Romania, DIONYSOS is opened, starting October 2014 in old city center of Bucharest, on Sepcari 19. The business has taken over the former “Beros&vanSchaik wine traders” wine bar from the owners, thus continuing the story of the place and promising to add to it.

DIONYSOS is opened daily, between the 16.00h to 24.00h in the night and serves a rotating selection of more than 300 bottles, ranging from small producers to famous wines like Tignanello,   Guado alTasso , Brunello di Montalcino and many more. All of them are either to have or to deliver anywhere in Bucharest, at the just the perfect temperature. The particular poison of choice of the owners is discovering and experiencing small wine houses so variety is the name of the game at DIONYSOS. There is plenty of potential to find your new favorite to enjoy. It offers more than 30 wines by a glass (or two) to choose from and the cheese pairing is guaranteed to please any wine enthusiast.

The friendly staff is perfectly apt to teach you about the drink of the gods and get you in that perfect state of mild tipsiness, on any given day (in the most sophisticated way possible, of course).

Pro tip: Ask for Radu. You will never know which one of them will actually answer. Also, owner’s selection of magazines and dailies include: NY Times, Monocle, Wired and wine industry magazines.
