In mid-summer management decided to include some sakes, several sparkling wines, and feature Spanish wines.

Some of the white wines on offer tasted were disappointing and most red wines relatively innocuous.

One port on offer tasted less than what one would expect from a standard port, and the dessert wines offered were simply unbalanced either being too sweet or lacking depth.

Dreamy Clouds Tokubetsu Junmai Nigori, Rihaku, Japan
Good complexity, depth of flavour and slight sweetness of citrus make this sake worth enjoying chilled.

Derived from teh 30 year old Tio pepe solera this dark amber coloured amontillado smells of candied fruit and walntus. Balanced and suitable for sipping with unsaltred nuts or on its own after an extended gourmet meal.
