We have been a weekend in Paris and we tried to see as much as possible in the short time, so it has been a lot of walking. This is the roadmap we followed on day one:
We arrived in Paris by Plane, train and the Metro about 11 am on Friday the 22. The hotel we stayed at was a little one called Le Marquis about a kilometer from the Eiffel Tower. We thought the first thing we would like do was going up the Eiffel Tower because it was the nearest attraction. It was only one kilometer from the hotel so we went there. The queue was loooong!
The tower did open at 9:30 am so we thought that we will try the next morning and hoping for a shorter queue. We did walk to the Seine it was a lovely day with sun and not too hot.
We had talked about going along with the Seine before we went to Paris, so we had a little talk and decided that we would do it right now. We walked and we walked all the way to the Notre Dame. The distance from Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame along the Seine is about 5 Km so I did found out on Google maps when we got back. We did take the metro/Train back to the hotel and rested for a while and then went out for dinner.
Day one: about 9-10 km totally.
