Vintages Release Recommendations

This release is the biggest in memory.

Vintages management knows that some wine lovers like to stock up their cellars before Christmas, and this release was planned to cater to those. The price point of wines ranges from $ 16.00 to well over $ 250.00. There are some that represent outstanding value.

Generally, I recommend three wines in each category, and six more are also recommended. This time the also recommended section has been expanded due to the size of the release. Vintages now concentrates on offering wines around $ 20.00 with a few well above that. More expensive and rare products can be found in the Classics Catalogue, which is now published bi-monthly.
Many wines have no price as the list still has to be finalized.

Here are my recommendations.

Spirits

Grappa di Sassicaia, Poli Distilleria/Tenuta di San Guido
Sassicaia produces one of the finest wines of Tuscany.
Jacopo Poli, in Friuli, more than 400 kms. North and west of Bolgheri, is arguably the best grappa distiller of Italy.

This grappa is the combined effort of two reputable specialists.
This outstanding grappa exudes aromas of jasmine and honey. A smooth and spicy mouth feel makes it eminently enjoyable, especially with a fine cup of Colombian supreme coffee.
