This release celebrates family-owned wineries, and sangiovese – based wines from Italy.
Sangiovese is the most popular red grape variety of Italy and planted mainly in Tuscany, but thrives in many other regions.

Many wine enthusiasts favour family-owned and operated wineries with the belief that they pay more and closer attention to their wines. This may or may not be so in all cases, but generally is. Much like family-owned restaurants, the owners have a vested interest in teh product they cerate and serve.
The featured wineries are Burrowing Owl (British Columbia), Miguel Torres (Spain and Chile), Perrin Family (Rhone Valley, France), Henry Of Pelham (Ontario), Kaiken (Argentina), and Montes (Chile).
One rose from Cotes Catalanes in Languedoc is also offered.

Two port wines, three fine distillates from Nonino Distillery in Friuli cap this release’s offerings.
